Mr. Wilson received his bachelor's degree in business administration from East Carolina University and a law degree from Wake Forest University. He is the president of Intracoastal Properties, Inc., a real estate development company in Wilmington.
He serves as a board member for the North Carolina Department of Transportation and is currently chair of the Motor Vehicles, Access Management, and Programming and Finance committees. He also is a member of the North Carolina and Virginia State Bars.
Wilson serves as vice chairman of the North Carolina Turnpike Authority Board of Directors.
