NCTA and NCDOT To Hold Meetings for Cape Fear Skyway
RALEIGH - The N.C. Turnpike Authority and N.C. Department of Transportation will hold two public informational workshops in early April in the Wilmington and Belville areas on a proposed road connecting northern Brunswick and New Hanover counties.
Known as the Cape Fear Skyway, the new multi-lane road will extend from US 17 in Brunswick County to US 421 near Independence Boulevard in New Hanover County. The skyway is currently under consideration for development as one of the state’s first toll roads.
The workshops will be held between 4:30 and 8 p.m. on the following dates and locations:

- Monday, April 10 – Codington Elementary School at 4321 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington
- Tuesday, April 11 – Belville Elementary School at 575 River Road, Belville
